5An Excellent Mirror  Oct 15, 2009
I bought three of them after trying one for myself on my road bike. Got one for my wife's road bike and one for my mountain bike which I ride predominantly on the roads for a workout. The mirror keeps me from drifting into traffic because I do not have to look over my shoulder to see if cars are behind me.

It attaches securely to the end of the handlebar and has adequate adjustability. Works as expected.

5Nice secondary mirror. (Eyeglass mirrors are better.)  Jul 15, 2009
I have my mirror mounted on a road bicycle with dropped handlebars. When I'm on the brake hoods, or the top of the bars, my arm blocks my view of this mirror. So I also use an eyeglass mirror, Bike Peddler Take A Look Cycling Eyeglass Mirror. But when I'm in a tuck whipping down a hill, I can't see behind me via the eyeglass mirror. (I'm in the way.) So I bought this mirror and have it adjusted so that I can see cars approaching, or receding in the distance as I pick up speed.

Being on the handlebars, it does vibrate more than the eyeglass mirror so while the view is fine, it's not as good as the eyeglass view. Still for the same reason my car has 3 mirrors, having two on a bicycle really helps for riding in traffic.

Unlike the other reviewers, I've had no trouble mounting this mirror. I've been using it for two years and haven't had any problems with it. I'm not quite a daily commuter but I ride a lot. I used one of the thinner rubber inserts to get the sizing right but it was no trouble at all.

I park my bike along with a zillion other bikes and the mirror gets bumped every day. With the hinged mount, it's no trouble to re-align it and off I go.

So if you don't have any mirror, the eyeglass one is preferred, but if you commute in traffic, this one will help.

I've tried several mirrors prior to selecting the Blackburn Multi Mirror. The one downfall that kept creeping up was "vibration"... from the velcro attached mirrors to the one with clamps and nuts. The Blackburn Multi Mirror when properly mounted and used on the right handlebars will take care of that vibration...just beware that you'll probably want to get two of them. Yes, it's a few more dollars but it's worth it.

I put one on each side of my bike and they provide excellent visibility of what is behind me, without really blocking my peripheral view.
